Hello all,
I havnt ever messed with a e-series command board untill now. Having some audio troubles low volume and a thud rather than a beep. Theres only one electrolytic on the board and its already been changed. Can anyone point me in the right direction, this board isnt covered in my manuals. It would be much appreciated.
A side note I couldnt find info on and was curious about. The addresses are the same on these board as the older ones with seprate MLM and command boards as far as moflags and the commonly bitbanged locations go M/N, S/N, control type ect...

Caps have leaked and may have destroyed the audio out put IC amplifier.

Yep the IC was bad, dont work on alot of these was the first Ive had that hadnt failed completely or spewing brown gunk out the bottom. The lone electrolytic tested goon on the ESR meter and wasnt leaking so maybe shorted one of the speaker lines at one point. It was just a lone board in a mess of parts I received. Going to try to hack it into a 250 mode conventional. Will wrote:Caps have leaked and may have destroyed the audio out put IC amplifier.
I think I found someone on that popular auction site that has a small stash of these elusive little buggers that are reclaimed, the picture is of the 15 pin version they say is actual item from the lot will see when they get here.
