RCH3000 and MCS2000 compatibility

RCH3000 and MCS2000 compatibility

Simple question...

Can a remote mount MCS2000 without a head attached be connected to the RCH2000 directly from DB25 radio connection and run with just the RCH, or does it need a head attached?

Also, what changes can be made to a model 2 MCS2000 to make it a model three to play with an RCH (RCH needs to talk to a model 3)
