Good morning!
I've been having some issues with my MIP5000. The gooseneck mic loses connectivity after about an hour when the laptop logs itself off (for security purposes). Even after logging back on the mic does not transmit. However, it does indicate on the screen that the PTT button is being pushed, but there is no sound transmitted to the radios, just static. Only after restarting does the mic "re-establish" itself and transmits. Anyone have any ideas?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Mel

Re: MIP5000 MIC Problem
Is it the usb "Buddy Mic" with the chicklet sized PTT or the MCC style with the enhanced usb jackbox?
The buddy mics were a huge issue with mips, there might be a fsb on them, not sure its been a while.

Re: MIP5000 MIC Problem
Don't let the laptop log off would be my advice. Power settings could also have an effect. Sometimes the power settings turn off the USB ports when the pc is idle. I have set up a few of these using the enhanced usb jackbox and have never had the problem.

Re: MIP5000 MIC Problem
Problem was resolved by going into admin settings and changing the lockout settings...strange, I know!
If locked out of account do the following:
Right click on "My Computer" --> click on "Manage" --> Choose the account that's locked out --> uncheck "Lock Out".
