Howdy, I don't know what kind of microphone you have but mine has a small button on the back. If this button isn't pushed all the way in, receive pl won't work, even with monitor off because the radio is supposed to go into the monitor mode when lifting the mic. This mic isn't like the maxtrac, GM300 etc, which uses ground on the cradle. The one on my radio is definately done with the button on the back of the mic. Good luck. I hope you're able to find the problem.

Try pressing the "SQL" button on the numeric portion of the keypad. I haven't checked mine to be sure this is correct, but, a short press should say monitor off or monitor on, be sure it is set to monitor off for PL's to work properly on receive.

hi,,

it's possible that you have a defective PL board...from what you say the decode is malfunctioning...is this on all channels

good luck................

In addition to what streaker said, I had a bad mic one time and the receive pl wouldn't work even with the small button on the back pushed in. If you can get your hands on another mic, try that. That solved my problem. Good luck.
