XTS 5000 Clock Display

Post by kc2mdn »

Hello, maybe someone can help. I have the clock set up to display on the face of the radio. Problem is if I remove a battery or the battery Completly dies the clock needs to be reset. Is there on on-board battery that may need to be replaced like a CMOS battery. Not a big deal just annoying. My XTS2500 holds the time no matter what.

Yes it is on the back of the controller board hidden by the Encryption board.

If your radio has an encryption module remove it and you will find the Type MS621 battery.
