Hi everyone! Please share ideas about MCC5500 console CSDM Program software releases; is there a compatibility issues between its hardware and software releases? I got on hand CSDM R02.02.02 which I guess don't match with my COP board DDN7523A (3210849G-40 SR01). What is the latest CSDM version release?
Thanks!

I believe you can go backwards with the CSDM program, but not forward, best to keep the 2 on the same software rev. Latest is 2.06 I think.
Re: MCC5500 console CSDM
Aside from from some minor changes in the GUI, most CSDM releases are fully compatible.
I have used older releases of CSDM on a 3 console dispatch position, and had to make changes later, and used a newer release to update the fix, and I did not have any problems with either the CAB or DAP-I or DAP-II cards, even with i-Buttons in place for our digital radios.
Our IRR system recorded just fine, as did the relay panel for the door actuators.
No hiccups noted, so I doubt there would be any real troubles with revision levels, UNLESS you are trying to run the system from the CSDM disc and performing a partial load of the newer release, then I can see some potential problems arise.
I don't know how you configured your consoles, but our GUIs are shop built, then installed and finalized at location with the proper screens, punchdowns tied to each radio and all functions stored as built. Not a simple set up to cut your teeth on, but once you do one, all the rest are easy and actually bit fun to build up. I like the way you move from level to level, makes checking previous setups faster and simpler as you have less to retrace as you move ahead.
One issue I despised, was we were stuck with using three different computers, so setting up the IRR was a chore...what worked in one, would refuse to work on another. The Instant recall would hesitate, or not record, then it would. Finally got them all functioning and the sun shone down and it was good.
