Invalid Field that dosnt exist

Post by redneck_1086 »

I read a Ht1250, modified the codeplug then tried to write it back. It wont let me save, mail, or write it because it has an "invalid field" I look under infalid fields and there is nothing listed. What could this be?

When you have the Invalid Fields window open, there are two choices: Invalid Fields Due To Last User Input or All Invalid Fields

Toggle between the two and you should be able to see the problem field. I went through the same thing the first time I built a new code plug for a radio. You have to manually select to see what's not right.

Put your cursor in the window and try to scroll up and down. I seem to recall that I have to do that to see the problem.

If that doesn't work, I am out of suggestions. I had pretty much the same problem and it got resolved by poking around in that window.

open up another engine of the same cps and read the radio and write right back to it and see if it lets you. what's the firmware in the radio, it's possible you tried to turn on or use an option that the cps recognizes but the radio don't because of old firmware? and just curious how much of the codeplug did you alter?

I just started over and it worked fine the second time. I was adding/removing MDC aliases, adding/removing personalities, editing scan list ect.

one thing I like to do is just write to the radio every few minutes so then you don't lose everything.
