VHF portable propragation studies? Anyone have one?

VHF portable propragation studies? Anyone have one?

Need to hit some highlights from any credible study that would deal with VHF portable voice radios with simplex/line of sight communications issues. Anything with narrowbanding effects a definate plus.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Plot it out in Radio Mobile. That's not what you are looking for, but a picture says a thousand words. Show them what the supposed 3db loss in coverage looks like on paper.
