MTR3000 IP Repeater Programming

Post by Dave518 »

I can connect to the master repeater and see the peers but when I click on a repeater to read it I get an "Error 5442" (Mototrbo CPS error not a Windows error). Same upgrade on a Windows XP machine works fine. This laptop is a Panasonic CF-53 running Windows 7 32-bit. Motorola was no help. They blamed it on Windows and closed the case.

Reading the repeater locally works fine. I've tried this with a Capacity Plus system and a single MTR3000. Does not matter. Same issue.

I have reinstalled CPS. No luck. I even downgraded to 7.6 and while the error changed to an "Error 5441" I still was not able to read a repeater. I've tried registry repair software. I've shut down just about every service process that isn't necessary to keep Windows running. Still no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

I figured it out. I still had MIP5000 software on my laptop from a demonstration I did a few weeks ago and, apparently, the DCPM was preventing the software from talking to the repeaters. Once I stopped the DCPM service everything worked fine.
