CDM 1250 Narrow Band Issue

Post by SLASH40917 »

Hello,
I'm programming VHF CDM 1250's for a Fire Dept using RSS 6.12 changing all of the channels to 12.5 Narrow Band. After I changed all of them to 12.5
I attempted to key up the channels and I could not activate any of the repeaters on any channels. They appear to receive however transmitting is unsuccessful
When the radio was set on Wide 25.0 they all worked with no issues. I changed all of the HT 1250 portables to 12.5 with all of them working fine on all channels.
I have asked 2 radio shops with them scratching their heads trying to sell me new radio's. Anybody have any idea, Could it be a firmware issue some of them were from 2002-2005?

Thank You Again

Sounds like the PL devation is now to low to activate the repeater, Has the repeater been narrow banded and aligned.

You need to look at the PL level on the CDM and if it's with in spec start looking at the repeater
Cause Motorola said so that's why

Yep. What he said. Put one of those CDM's on the bench and get it aligned. It's probably never been done on the NB settings.
