CDM1250 remote mount cable - 8 pin?

Post by g8tzl2004 »

I think I can use an 8 pin straight thru RJ45 lead even though its a 10 pin socket ?

I read in the archives about no handset audio if you don't use a 10 pin RJ45 lead...but what is handset audio?

Anybody have the pin outs of the 10 pin RJ45 sockets on the head and body?

Thanks
Will

Maybe this is relative: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104159

There is a chance the 8 pin plug will mess up the 10 pin jacks on the CDM radio.

But what is a "handset"...is it a telephone style speaker/mic or something? I will only use a standard or DTMF mic.

OK on the possible pin damage.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

that's exactly it, it's a telephone with a push to talk button on it so it has extra pins used for the rx audio to the handset
