I have two MTS 2000 radios setup for 800mhz. One is programmed, one is not.
Now I have a clonning cable that I use to use on my old HT 1000s; will this work to program my unprogrammed radio? Likewise will there be any issues with clonning the access keys? And I assume it will also clone any Identifiers, is there a way to get it not to clone the identifier?
If clonning wont work: Is there a version of software that doesn't require me to run it in DOS? I am running a Windows 7 64bit computer with usb, ethernet, firewire, and an sata ports. I am open to recommendations.

Re: MTS 2000 Programming
There is a windows software, CPS, for the MTS2000 series radios. IIRC the CPS only supports RS232 serial ports.

- What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

If your cloning radios on trunking systems, you'll need a system key for each trunking system in your source radio for CPS to effect a clone or top level drag and drop operation.
