Here's an idea: Post some useful information about the problem you're having. I.e. programming through the control head? TIB? USB cable? RS232? Error code you are receiving? CPS version?

The software is somewhat particular about what else is running on the computer. I always do a fresh boot before starting the software.

Next thing to check is what port the computer is using and make sure you have the software set accordingly. I always seem to have the software set to a serial port and the programming cable is a USB.

Make sure you start the software before connecting the programming cable to the computer and the radio. It might even take a power down and then powering up the radio for the computer and software to see the radio connection.

Thanks to all

I will try rebooting the program and see what happens. Yes, I'm aware of the USB / serial bus issues. It worked on all the rest of the PM1500 radios. I have the latest program from Motorola also
