Here's what I'm looking to do...
Take a 700 MHz CDM1550 LS+ (AAM255HF4DP5AN) and get it to receive out of band enough that I can pull discriminator audio and use it as a dedicated receiver to monitor a P25 system in Unitrunker.
No transmitting ever, receive-only parked on a single frequency. I just need to figure out if it's possible to get this thing to receive in the 771-773 MHz range. As far as I know the receiver is 746-747 and 762-764 splits off the shelf.
I've read through this post here, and I'm hoping someone can confirm that this will also work with the 700 MHz model, and what the consensus is on whether or not going from 762-764 to 771-773 is stretching the receiver a bit too far northward.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice and assistance!

Read throught this thread. A much simpler way to get the radio out of band.

This works like a champ. Big ups to the guys at P25.ca for getting this figured out!Thomas wrote:Read throught this thread. A much simpler way to get the radio out of band.

Unfortunately it also ties you to using modified CPS. Modifying and blowing in a codeplug is more involved, but it frees you to use any matching CPS version on any computer without restriction.escomm wrote:This works like a champ. Well, sorta. You can still use regular unmodified CPS afterwards, as long as you do not try to add any new personalities. You can even modify the existing OOB personalities that show in red, and there are no issues with writing the changes. Not to mention, for the most part, people who tend to do OOB and other mods tend to stick with their primary computers & software on hand.motorola_otaku wrote:Unfortunately it also ties you to using modified CPS.
