xtl5000 display

How do you program the display on a XTL5000 with the 05 remote head to display the Zone on top and Channel below to look like this...

MAC
channel 8 Instead of MAC Channel 8?

A better question would be: How did you make it "MAC Channel 8"?

The zone text is displayed above the channel text by default, I suspect you have no zone text entered at all and "MAC Channel 8" entered as your channel text?

Firstly, goto "Radio Configuration > Display & Menu" and on the "General" tab you should see "Text Configuration", make sure both "Channel Text Size" and "Zone Text Size" are maxed out at "14".

Next goto "Zone Channel Assignment" and in each assignment you will find two tabs, enter your "Zone Text" in the first "Zone" tab and remove the "MAC" from each "Channel Name" in the second "Channels" tab.

If that don't float your boat then there must be something very wacky going on?

I will give it a try. The current set up is the Zone name is MAC and the channel is just 8 Not channel 8. Thanks

Agreed both zone and mode texts lines need to be at 14 and then it will work as you want.
