XPR6550 DTMF

does anyone know if the XPR6550 front keypand can act like a dtmf keypad? very stumped here .. wondered if this can be achieved.

I haven't tried it, but the product feature matrix shows "YES" for DTMF Hot Keypad for the XPR6550.

What firmware are you running? It will probably be a feature that was added and therfore only works at a certain level firmware, or newer.

Here's info from the system planner:
DTMF Hot Keypad
When this feature is enabled, the numeric keypad allows live dialing during dispatch operation.
During a voice call, the user can transmit the following characters using a MOTOTRBO radio with keypad: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * #. These characters are encoded as dual tone multi frequency (DTMF). These DTMF tones enable the user to communicate with a device connected to a control station using the numeric keypad.
This feature is supported in single site conventional, IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus and Linked Capacity Plus system configurations. This feature is also supported by radios in analog mode.

What radios do you own?: Not enough apparently!

CPS Help says it's for 3600 Trunking capable radios only. I'm having trouble finding a checkbox for enabling hot keypad but it appears to work on all analog channels on my work 6550.
