I was programming a bunch of radios and somehow one, I upgraded the version of the code plug and now it wont take the plug I want....
It's not a big deal because I can still read and write to the radio so I can create the code plug I want....
I just want to know what I did wrong?
All the other radios still have a V 1.00 code plug but this one has 1.03??
Thanks

Which version of the CPS did you use?noloflashradio wrote:I was programming a bunch of radios and somehow one, I upgraded the version of the code plug and now it wont take the plug I want....

And while I'm on the topic...when I went to change a few settings, some of the radios give me the "your about to UPGRADE the code plug" warning. Wondering if one factor may be that we are using two computers?

Different computers alone should not have any effect on this.noloflashradio wrote:And while I'm on the topic...when I went to change a few settings, some of the radios give me the "your about to UPGRADE the code plug" warning. Wondering if one factor may be that we are using two computers?
If there are different versions of the CPS on each computer, that "might" be a problem. Unlikely however if you are programming your radios interchangeably on the two machines.

I just took an old codeplug from a firmware v1.xx and wrote it to a fully updated radio and it took it fine. then when I read it back it comes back updated. So not shure why you can't write an old codeplug to anything new?
