Portable antenna id.
How can you id. what band a portable antenna is for? There are vhf and uhf antennas that look the same and are the same length. Antennas have no part number. Please let me know. Thanks Gary.

A picture would he helpful, antenna's are color coded but there are variations in different product lines and some colors are used more than once.

You need both the base color and length to properly identify Motorola antennas.

The cut and paste was out of date ... that's the problem when stuff is copied from a source rather than just posting a reference. The source updates and the copies don't.
The Interweb would be smaller and less full of out-of-date stuff if everyone got with that program.
I added some material to the original list (Moto website URL for part numbers and added a new 800/900 MHz stubby). I found this repeat post and rather than have to come back here each time I update the original post, I added the thread reference to make it easier for others that come looking for the same info in the future.
