XTS3000 Model I

Post by JimmyL1011 »

Hello all:

I was wondering if Motorola ever made an XTS3000 Model I handheld with the 450-512 bandsplit? The used market is flooded with 403-470 radios. While I know the radio can be taken a little out of band it would be easier to just buy the radio I don't hafta fool with. I need the radio to be agile into the 490 MHz range.

Sorry to sound dumb but I don't know the answer to this.

There are 3000's in that band split. I have one. You want to use it for CFD?

Capt:

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do! I have carried my own XTS3000 at work since the '90s and had to resort to bringing my VHF MT1000 to work to keep an ear on the goings-on of the CFD company on my beat. Now, we're all on UHF. It sure would be handy to have it all in one concise package. But the darn things must be rare.

I guess I'll just keep looking.

Thanks for the info.
