Programming a ASTRO Spectra with a USB Port???

Post by BJW »

I know that my High power Astro spectra has a DB25 pin connector for programming. Just wondering if I can get a DB25 pin adapter to a USB cable to make this work, If so what do you recommend? Or does it have to be the 25 pin? Any help Appreciated thanks. BJW

You can plug a RIB into the USB adapter, but not the radio directly.

What KE7JFF is saying is the Astro Spectra has a different BUSS configuration that does not match a serial or USB port.

The RIB does the conversion to serial RS232.
