800Mhz Screen In a 450Mhz Radio?

Post by laxplurr06 »

I am looking to replace a cracked screen on a 450Mhz radio. I have the option to buy an 800Mhz screen but I am not sure if it will work. Does anyone know if this will work?

Thanks,

Jeff

Depends on your radio. More specifics about your radio, and the radio you intend to buy are needed. For example, late model XTS3000 LCDs need a specific firmware version to operate. Early model XTS5000 LCDs were band specific and would do funky things if put on a different band radio.

Here Is the model number. I can't find the firmware version in the CPS it just reads unknown. I also can't tell through the radio either because the screen is cracked. I may just buy it and see what happens.
