EX600XLS Keypad Issue

Post by jchapman »

I just refurbished an EX600XLS, and now the keypad isn't making contact with with circuit board. If I supply power to the radio while disassembled, I can press the buttons on the circuit board and the radio is responsive. If i put it back together, everything works but the keypad. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

Just had the same issue...the keypad board fits kind of funky in the housing...you need to make sure that the bottom portion of the board is down as far as it could go in the housing...just line up the notches in the new housing...

Problem is, it will fit the wrong way, and the unit will go together fine...but what happens is the keys are not making the correct contact with the board/popples...
