XTS Firmware
How does someone go about updating the firmware in a XTS2500? Does it have to be sent in?

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Re: XTS Firmware
In laymans terms, you need the following:
- Standard USB or RS-232 programming cable for the radio. You should use a factory cable for flashing the radio, as aftermarket ones may not work or may cause problems.
- iButton refresh key. This is a USB device that the CPS looks for to "authorize" the update. This can be obtained from Motorola or an authorized dealer.
- The "CVN" file for the radio that you are updating. This is the actual firmware file.
You use standard CPS to perform the update.
If you need to order the appropriate stuff to do this, please contact escomm here on the board. He can obtain the needed stuff for you.
