Motorola Motrac and Desktop Remote.

Post by Mike DeMeo »

Hello
I received a Motorola Desktop control dated 1969. The part number is TLN1214A-2. I would like to used it to control a Motrac Mobile that I converted to 6 Meters, by replacing the existing mobile control head with it to use as a base.
I see that the remote uses DC signalling.
Is it possible to do this?

You would need a DC Remote Adapter such as a CPI Communications DTP Series added to the mobile.

k2hz is correct. A DTP series term panel will work if the Motrac has the necessary connections (ground, +Vdc, PTT, Tx audio, Rx audio).
