Desktrac Adding second radio

How much trouble is it to add a second maxtrac to a desktrac with the tone card in it to make it a repeater?

The tone card comes out. You will have to make up the cable for the second radio. And that can be configured for a repeater.

Why? Need more info on your intended application. We probably have an ap for that already.

The interface cable is no longer available. You have to make a cable that mates with the RX radio front connector and solders into the Desktrac's front panel circuit board. Difficult? Yes you bet it is.

okay, so its something that solders to the front of the radio, ebay it will be to get one to do what i want LOL its prolly just as cheap to do that than spend the time with all that

No the cable plugs into the RX radio chassis where the control head was. The connectors are available from Mouser and others. I will lookup the connector part number if you wish.
