HT1250 Display swap trouble

Hello batboard,

I got a good deal on a newer vhf HT1250 with a busted display a radio passed self-test, TX's and made noise, now hope to fix it with a working display from a box of vhf ht1250 parts I had around. I delicately swapped displays and at my final moment of putting it together on power up the now "repaired" ht1250 display does work but just flashes all the characters together on the display for 1 sec and goes back to sleep ? what gives? something else I can do?
