Problem with HT1250

Post by couchm7 »

Hello I just recently programmed 6 new HT1250's. I have one radio that shows a constant busy led indicator on every channel. I reprogrammed the radio with no PL's and all the channels have a constant squelch. I changed the values in the global tuner. I was able to successfully stop the constant squelch however it still would not receive anything transmitted on the channel with a radio 6 inches from it. Any thoughts or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

If the HT1250s that you programmed were new, it's very likely that the problem lies with your programming rather than a hardware problem with the portables. Did you set up the zone(s) properly? i.e. did you add each personality to a zone?

There is also the case that they are LS that someone tried to turn into conventionals and blew out the tuning data. usually messing with the tuning is not the first approach to a problem like this. Hopefully you have backups of the original tuning. Could you share with us your code plug? and tell us more about the history of your radios?

What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

and TUNER should not be used unless you have a service monitor/signal generator, proper service cables and service manual handy.

I'd say the tuning values are hosed. Time to send them to a reputable shop with proper tools, or flat rate repair.

If they are new then send them to the depot for warranty service.

Typical on these Waris Series Potables.. 1) Make sure radio is aligned 2) If So, must be the ASFC chip, 3) bad filters..
4) Your gonna hafta really troubleshoot these radios as its not so easy to work with
