Threaded 3.5mm connector

Post by tdats »

I have been trying to find a male stereo 3.5mm connector that has threads on it. I have an audio adapter for my XTS2500 radio that has a 3.5mm threaded connector on it. The earpiece I have for it has a connector issue, and the wire is really way too long for my needs, so I want to replace that connector. It has been surprisingly hard to find one though. Anyone know of a source?

It looks like this:

That is a very nice connector, BUT the Motorola type has a male tread on the plug.

Looks like Twitco is the winner. Heard back from their sales people earlier this week. Unfortunately for the moment, my project is on hold, so not sure if I am going to order any. But, for the benefit of the group, here's what they sent me:

The part number for the connector is CN03531 3.5mm Threaded Connector /Stereo.
This part has a plastic screw on cover. If you prefer a metal cover the part number is CN03531M

CN03531 $2.50 each
CN03531M $5.65 each

We charge $6.50 S&H for orders under $100.00.

You can call or fax your order. Please have the shipping address and credit card information available when calling. We accept VISA, MC, DISCOVER.
