APX7500 scan setup...

Post by KG6EAQ »

Quick question for any APX guru's here. I've recently had several APX7500's added to my fleet and one of them is experiencing an odd scan issue..... it doesn't :D

These radios are setup for three zones, each with it's own single system scan list, with the priority channel being the selected channel. In the radio in question, the user has three channels in the scan list but the radio never appears to hear traffic on the other two channels in the scan list. It hears the selected channel just great, but if I monitor one of the other channels with another radio it will be hearing tons of traffic while the APX just sits on the selected channel.

Any ideas/suggestions of things to check? This is my first foray into the APX radios and I can't say I'm impressed with the software :D

I'd have to check the quality of the ground. I want to say one of the times I was putzing in the scan options I turned off the hang up box option, but maybe I didn't.
