What radios do you own?: Way too many to list, over 50

RAC (Repeater Access Code)

Post by FF/EMT/KC2NFB »

Im trying to use RAC in a HT1550 and a Cimarron CPlus to decode it. I have the RAC set in the conventional personality and i have repeater access set to auto in the MDC system. When I PTT the radio it does not transmit the RAC (CPlus does not decode/detect). When I push the emergency button the CPlus decodes the RAC first then the emergency.

This is driving me crazy. Anyone have any ideas? :-x

Thanks

OK, im an idiot.

Was testing this with a simplex set of freq's. The radio will not send RAC on a simplex channel. Reprogrammed Rx and Tx with different freq's and now the radio sends RAC when PTT.

Strange how it will send RAC on simplex channel when emergency is pressed.

Anyway.......
