FDNY Speaker Mic

Post by lafd55 »

I have seen a post before about the Motorola speaker mic used by the FDNY but didn't have the answer. I was wondering if anyone know what they use. It looks like an NMN6191C and RMN5066B mashed together.

Being on Long Island, I have requests for this Mic all the time. After confirming with our /\/\ sales rep, he states the Mic was a special order. It, to our information, is the only mic with the Emergency Button, but no volume control. I havent seen anything like it on MOL.

I wonder if it might be p/n RMN5023DSP01

That was originally based on a Commander mic and was formerly described as "SMART RSM SUBM FOR FDNY"

FWIW, it looks like this mic has a mobile style mic clip on, to affix to this Boston Leather strap - http://www.bostonleather.com/content/fi ... ola-clip-0

Interesting design.

I had an commander style mic that was an SP for FDNY and it had the mobile mic hang up button on the back of the standard spring clip
