Wiping a codeplug

Post by w2sjw »

Guys,

A fellow member here is in line to buy my APX7000 V/U-R2. Is there any way to wipe a codeplug back to 'default', or do I have to go in manually & start deleting things?

I bought my 7K from BatDude as a R04, and that's the only 'default blank' codeplug I have that matches the actual flashcode.

You can go in and delete whole zones, personalities and scan lists. It makes things rather easy. Just leave one zone and one personality with just one channel in the zone. There is a red X at the bottom or top depending what your in. Be careful doing it.

I actually discovered that I could export all default data out of the R04 codeplug, and then import it into the R10 current one. Then I went and deleted everything like you said. It worked like a charm!

The only thing I had to change was the mic noise reduction profiles, as the R04 codeplug still had the faulty settings with '0' in all the hex fields...
