Just bought some HT600E rigs with MASC

Post by MiXiN »

Hi Guys,
I just bought myself 2 x HT600E MASC Radio's on UHF, and they come with 4 encryption keys.

They also came with the stock charger, 2 recelled battery packs, Antenna's, and a Battery pack that needs recelling.

I paid £60 inc' P&P which is something like $85 USD when converted.

Just given them a test, and they talk to each other on some Channels (not checked all). The sound quality is also superb - I mean, you can whisper into the Mic' on both and it is reproduced in really good quality at normal speech volume.

The Audio, as expected, is Donald Duck sounding when listened to on a normal UHF Rx.

Now, they arrived with encryption switched on; Does anyone know how to turn it off, and also, turn it back on again using a different encryption key.

I believe the MASC key(s) are easily erased, so thought I'd ask here first before I brick it.

Cheers.
