Antenna Help for Motorola PM400 Radio

Post by 68rs327 »

I was given a Motorola PM400 Radio. I want to use it inside my home to listen to Fire Dept, Police, and EMS. I just bought a A/C to D/C convertor and have it all set up. I have a cheap, old, half broken antenna on it now. What Antenna would you suggest to use with the Motorola PM400 Radio? The frequencies I listen to are 153.51 ~ 155.26. I want to antenna to be used inside my home and not a roof mount. It you guys could tell me the make and model number of the antenna, I can order one asap.
Thanks

The easiest is a basic magnetic mount with a 1/4 wave whip. Put it on a metal surface (file cabinet, or a good size cookie sheet).

Do you have a local radio shop that you can go to. They should have one in stock.

You already asked this question on another group and you received almost 20 good answers so why repeat over here? Every answer was the same that you received here.

I didn't receive many answers before I posted on here is why I posted on this website.
Thank you for your concern.
The answers did help and I have a new antenna on order.
