XTS 2500 Speaker Mic

Post by BigTex1136 »

Ok another issue I am having with my XTS2500 is when I hook up my speaker mic I get no sound out of it. The mic works and so does the ptt switch but no sound. I know the speaker is good I have tested it on another radio. I thought the issue was with the ribbon cable inside the radio so I replace it with another one and it did not fix anything so now I come here looking for help.

My speaker mic is NMN6193B Thanks guys

Any ideas guys. Are the mics the same for the XTS2500 the same as the mics for the XTS3000??? I am just trying to figure out why I don't have audio coming out of the speaker.

I have had occasional issues with a bad connection when attaching it to the radio. Maybe check the contacts on the radio to make sure they are clean? Sometimes I have to wiggle the speaker mic connector around a bit on the side of the radio when I hook it up, then it works fine. The connectors all look clean, just sometimes takes a little wiggle.

XTS3000's use the same speaker mics as 2500's.

I don't have any other ideas.
