Hello, today I bought the Motorola MCS2000 it must be trunked, I have the CPS R02.03.00 and programming cable like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/new-3in1-Progra ... 3f225508af
But the problem is that I can't read this radio, I was reading that the CPS must have some sort of key for trunking radio's.
So maybe someone can help me? Thanks.

I'm quite sure that one won't work with the MCS, you'll need the proper cable and RIB. You'd only need a system key to alter trunking information. For conventional only changes, unless if the codeplug is password protected, you should have no problem reading/writing it.

Alright, so I need to get the cable.

I use this cable. Never a problem, but you will still need to buy the rib. However, while this cable works fine with my 3 front mount radios, it won't work with my trunk mount radio. I have to use the acc program cable for that radio. GARY

Easy enough to build your own.

As Gary stated you need the RIB. And this cable does not work in remote configurations.
Some RIB may not work with this cable AND some computers. A known problem.
