vrs750 with apx7500?

Post by sglass »

So I finally got an 07 head, and thought I'd hook up the vrs.

Not seeing an option now, and I know it used to be there.

Thoughts?

Did you get the VRS750 to work?
We checked with Moto and were told at the time it was not compatable, only the new DVRS is, so we went with Pyramid 200 series and they work great, even does in-band UHF repeat. Our APX7500s are VHF/UHF.

Motorola now requires an option at time of radio purchase, GA 00631, which is the only way to the DVRS to work with the APX mobie.

Yep and for the cost of a DVRS you can by two APX mobiles.....The SVR 200 is a great deal and works great too. I like it better than the VRS750 we have in the fleet. The only thing I miss is the remote channel select.

OP doesn't want to use a DVRS. He wants to use a VRS. DVRS is a piece of Futurecom garbage and a VRS is a dumb MCS2000

Escomm, As a Moto dealer can you shed any light on the situation? Can a VRS be incorporated with the APX dual band radio? I don't see how it is possible.
