I need the part number for the remote dual head cable on a M20SSS9PW1AN. It says it is an XL5000 - but it has Astro Spectra (W7) heads.
Any help is appreciated.
PS - Was this common an XLT using Astro Spectra heads?

Re: Need part number XTL5000 cable
I believe the AN XTL5000s had the W series heads and interconnects. The BN revisions have new newer O series heads.
Re: Need part number XTL5000 cable
There is no AN or BN revisions with the XTLs. All 5k can support either W series or O series, assuming the appropriate interface boards are present and the codeplug is configured as such.
I wasn't aware the XTL supported multiple heads with a W7. I thought it was W9 or O5 only. I reckon I could be mistaken
O5 dual heads are daisy chained. You can have up to 4 O5 heads on an XTL5000

The heads are W7 one in the front and one in the rear. I need the part number for the cable or cables. The department bought a new chiefs car and wants to reuse the radio, but the cables for the heads were installed when the interior was out (of the old car.) It will be a nightmare to get that cable out of the vehicle.

Re: Need part number XTL5000 cable
Don't be lazy, get it out as Motorola stopped offering a lot of the cables for the XTL5000 to try and push the APX I've been reading. For example I wanted to get a dual brick harness for my Q split to add an S split and fit the few frequencies I'm missing in the UHF range that I need but Moto have allegedly deleted that cable from it's lines. Even if you only keep the old cable as a spare, it's worth having.
Re: Need part number XTL5000 cable
I would definitely keep it as a spare. The vehicle is in service and the replacement is getting outfitted and I was looking to decrease down time. It looks like the chief will have some spare vehicle until the new one is ready. Thanks
