GM300 Long Squelch

Post by KB3ZGE »

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and glad to be here!

I am using a GM300 as a receiver which is running flat audio into the Link RLC-Club controller on my UHF repeater. Currently, it has a short squelch tail, but I would like to make that tail longer. I know that is a strange request, but I think it sounds better. Is there any way to add a long squelch to the GM300?

So in that configuration the GM300 is NOT providing the 'squelch'.

Look for something in the Link RLC-Club controller that controls the 'squelch'.

It's providing the squelch however the tail is very short and I'd like it longer. Is there a cap or something that can be changed to make the squelch stay open longer?

*Edit* You're right the controller provides the squelch, but I tried 'and'ing & 'or'ing the PL and COR detect, even did PL only and it didn't change the length at all. The controller must be quick on it's detect, so is there a way to slow down the logic signals from the GM?

How do you have the 'controller' hooked up? What are you using to tell the 'controller' that you have a signal in the GM300 receiver? Where is the 'controller' getting the receive audio from?

I stand corrected, the GM300 is not squleching the audio, so I should find a way to slow down the output of its COR and PL lines... might be tough.?

That might be the problem.
