HT1250 Transmit Issue
I just recently programmed an HT1250 for use on a 500Mhz conventional system. The radio is programmed for use with a repeater. I have checked numerous times and all the frequencies and pl's are correct. When I key the radio up and speak or just leave it keyed up it does not make it to the other radios in the room through the repeater. But when u dekey you can hear the repeater key up then let go in all the radios including the transmitting radio. Any suggestions would be great and any questions that anyone has feel free to ask in case I made this confusing.

Re: HT1250 Transmit Issue
You are overloading all the other radios. Increase the separation and you'll find it was working all along.
Re: HT1250 Transmit Issue
so basically if I can hear the repeater key up sound after a transmission then I know it went through?
Re: HT1250 Transmit Issue
How about doing a radio check with someone in the field or testing it on a service monitor?

Re: HT1250 Transmit Issue
sounds like a band split problem or off frequency.. 403-430 and 540-512

The answer lies here in What Astro has said. With all your radios in such a close distance to each other, when you key up the one portable your using to hit the repeater, it swamps out the receivers of the other radios. This causes them the basically go deaf from the very strong signal coming out of the transmitting portable. If you were closer to the repeater, it might work, but if you don't have a very strong signal coming out of the repeater where your doing this test, you loose.
As Astro stated, move the other radios further away for the test. The other choice is to actually talk with another person on the repeater a mile or so away.
Give the distance thing a try, you might like the results.
