Astro Saber Error 1/82

Hello gents, just picked up two Astro Sabers from ebay. Identical units. One is giving error 1/82. From what I read, I would need to reprogram the code plug. The problem is I cannot get a perfect read on the radio, CPS gives me checksum errors. I can read the working radio, but when I try to write the code plug from the working radio to the problematic one, I get serial number mismatch.

Try cloning the good codeplug to the bad radio

Just tried that and I am still getting 'radio serial number does not match one in database."
