Hi everyone,
i have a APX 7000 VHF/700/800 Radio I've having issues with. This is a ebay radio I work in Public Safety and would love to use this at work however I cannot read it. It tell's me that the codeplug version is invalid. I cannot do anything with it due to this. I'm using RSS version 9.0.0 with a USB cable. It appears to be communicating with the radio normally. The radio appears to be new and everything is working correctly on the radio.
Here is some info on the radio
H97TGD9PW1AN
VHF/700/800 BANDS
Host F00.15.31
DSP F00.15.31
KG1-ADP
Secure Version 01.00.24
Tuning 01.05.00
64Meg
The Flashcode from the radio says 0000001-00000000-9 which appears strange. tis is when i go into service mode. Also i can read the Flashcode from the radio
using the RSS and it states all zero's.
Any Idea's on what to do with this. Do I need a codeplug and Flash upgrade. Where could I find a Codeplug?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You VERY MUCH

Sounds like you have a early developmental unit. Basically it is useless.

If I would take it to motorola could they fix it so that it would be usable?

Not if its a DEV unit. Those were never to be released to the public.

You have a very expensive paperweight. I hope you didn't drop too much coin on it.SLASH40917 wrote:Meaning they could fix it but wont. Would they even give it back to me. Any suggestion's

That sucks.
Even if you did get it to work, I wouldn't advise using the thing in a Public Safety environment.
