XTL 5000 VHF AND VRS750 UHF

As stated above I have both items and for the life of me I can not get these to to play nice with each other. Everything is set in the programming and ready to go, but the VRS will not turn on when the button on the 05 control head is pressed. I have a buddy of mine double check and he is also stunned as to why. I did open the VRS and noted some dip switches, is there something I am missing there, are they to be in a certain configuration to work? Any help would be great. Radio has 20.01 software in it. I think that is the most recent. Might be wrong on the software number.

I remember having a similar problem until I realized that the radio did not have SCAN WITH VRS in the flash. I think I had to turn off Scan on the XTL before it would turn the VRS on.

Found the problem, some one changed out the voltage regulator, It did not have a sink heat screw in it. So I put a screw in it, Mistake!!! Removed the screw and they play nice together.
