Converting a dash mount to a remote mount. I got the remote head kit without the cable. I took the current head off and tried to line up the pins on the "adapter" plate. They didn't want to line up. Maybe the board was in upside down...anyhelp would be great....also looking for the cable to go between...

There's a difference between the Spectra and Astro Spectra "adapter" plates, have you got the right one??

Stupid question but did you remove the interconnect board between the control head and the main chassis when you removed the head from the radio. The part number is I believe HLN6000B. Once this is removed the new faceplate can be installed.

What radios do you own?: APX / Astro 25 / Harris

Ordered a spectra A7 remote control head back housing new from motorola a few months ago. The control head wouldn't mate with the connector, couldn't figure out why until I realized they assembled it backwards!
