XTL question
Our fire dept uses xtk2500 radios for our truck radios. We recently bought one with a dual head and don't plan on using the second head. We have a PM1500 in our primary engine and want to use the head on it. Is there a way to do it? Everything I've read looks like they are the exact same internally and externally. I've plugged it in and it doesn't seem to work. Is there a firmware update or a flash update that can be done or should i just buy a different radio.

No, they're not the same control head. You may be conflating the XTL2500 and XTL5000 heads, which are very similar but still not exactly the same.
