MTSX Question

Post by yardbirdjr »

Hello

What is the latest version of MTSX Software?

I have several MTX-9000's and was wanting to see what to latest version was that would run on Windows XP or Windows 7.

I tried to read the radios with MTS-2000 software and the error keeps telling me unsupported model.

I can read the radios fine with MTSX DOS version.

Just looking to find out if they had a later version

Please PM me

Thanks

David

Latest version of MTSX is R06.08. That's the final.

None of it will really run properly under Windows, it's a DOS application and should be run under real DOS. There never was a Windows version of MTSX.

What you are likely doing is trying to read an MTX 9000 using MTS 2000 Windows CPS. You can't do that. MTS 2000 Windows CPS works for the MTS 2000 only, not the MTX 9000.

Yea!

I found that out the other day.

I have a several MTX-9000's I was trying to read.

I was going to dump the code plugs and reprogram them to ham frequencies.

I just like the ease of operation for the windows based software.

Oh well it is what it is

Thanks for the reply

I have no problem reading MTX radios with MTS CPS to get info etc. I just can't program back to the MTX with the CPS. GARY

Yours must be a unique situation Gary. Most of the time I get "Model not supported" or something to that effect.

Years ago I was at a friend's house, & he found a box of MTX9000's that his business used years ago. While all the batteries were dead, I had my own UHF Jedi with me, so I put the good battery in his 9000, & after 6 years of not being used, it still brought up the repeater, so I read the MTX9000 with my CPS, & put the info in my MTS radios, & used the repeater for another year until the tower company changed the system to DMR. I didn't think it would work either, but my friend said it would read the MTX, just not write to it. GARY
