mcs2000 programing

i have just installed a Motorola mcs2000. I had to pay to get it reprogrammed which got me thinking, what do i need to program it myself?

A RIB, RIB2Radio cable, Motorola CPS2.03 (likely also Windows 95-XP for this) and since that cannot be purchased it cannot be obtained legally (there are other ways). You will also need to have a LOT of understanding about radios, bandplans and be prepared to loose some hair in frustration whilst learning Motorola's way of programming.

From then on you will be set.
