Quick question on Jedi Emergency button

Post by W3AXL »

Hi again,

Today I accidentally hit the emergency button on my MT2000, forgetting that unlike my old one this one had't been reprogrammed to control the backlight.

Now my radio is stuck emitting a constant beep and I can't seem to get it to turn off.

Help would be appreciated.

If you power off the radio and turn it back on and it doesn't reset the popple under the botton is either damaged or moved from it's position.

As RadioSouth said, turn the radio off, then back on should cancel the emergency. Alternatively, press and hold the emergency button for 2 seconds, this will also cancel the emergency call.

Thanks guys. Turns out the button had somehow gotten stuck even though it moved freely. I cleaned the contacts and now everything's back to normal.
