I just found this eBay listing which includes the correct size spanner-head bit for the Saber battery plate captive screws.

I bought one of those sets a while back, there great! Also handy for the Spectra/Astro Spectra etc...

Other method is start with a blade screwdriver with the correct witdth and it takes 2 min. with a dremel metal cutting disc
to make the notch.

Go to the radio shack web site and look under there commercial sales catalog and you'll find the same thing for about $ 7.00. I bought one and it works great on my sabers.

OK, I looked in the new Radio Shack 2001 Commercial catalog on page 218, and it lists the 33 piece security bit set, Cat# 910-5247 at 12.99 ea. I bought mine on sale. But 12.99 isn't a bad deal. Check out http://www.radioshack.com for further.
