Re: IMPRES battery CHIP dump
The battery itself is most likely okay, but the IMPRES chip is indeed toast. Had that happen to me once on a NOS hi-cap APX battery. Still works fine, gives me 2-3 days of operation, but I have no battery gauge on the radio and the display on the charger will only display part and serial numbers.

that sucks! Yeah the battery is working great except it is now a mystery when the battery will decide to need a charge. IMPRES has really spoiled me!motorola_otaku wrote:The battery itself is most likely okay, but the IMPRES chip is indeed toast. Had that happen to me once on a NOS hi-cap APX battery. Impres batteries have I believe 18 month warranty. Motorola might warranty it?
