IMPRES battery CHIP dump

IMPRES battery CHIP dump

i have an older battery that only had 18 charges. i always use the impres charger yesturday the fuel gauge and data ijnto is blank.....fuel gauge does not show up, and batt button data just shows lines --
i have forced recal 2 times now after the battery haws fully charged and still no more gauge. is the battery impres chip done for?

The battery itself is most likely okay, but the IMPRES chip is indeed toast. Had that happen to me once on a NOS hi-cap APX battery. Still works fine, gives me 2-3 days of operation, but I have no battery gauge on the radio and the display on the charger will only display part and serial numbers.

that sucks! Yeah the battery is working great except it is now a mystery when the battery will decide to need a charge. IMPRES has really spoiled me!

Impres batteries have I believe 18 month warranty. Motorola might warranty it?
